Friday (June 13), 21:30-24:00: ANDY PSYCHONAUT: FLOWER POWER
Make love, not war. Don’t trust anyone over 30. Turn on, tune in, and drop out. I am a human being — please do not fold, bend spindle, or mutilate.
These and many more became slogans for emerging youth culture in the 1960s. Hippie lifestyle became synonymous with youth. Displaying frank new attitudes about drugs and sex, communal lifestyles, and innovations in food, fashion, and music, the counterculture youth broke profoundly with almost all values their parents held dear.
The common bond among many youths of the time was music. A new wave of psychedelic rock and roll became the music of choice. Folk music was fused with rock. Bands created new sounds with electrically enhanced guitars, subversive lyrics, and association with drugs.
Andi Psychonaut will take us back to the “Flower Power” times, presenting some spaced-out and mind-bubbling rare Psychedelic / Kraut / Space-rock from the 60s & 70s till now …on vinyls!
Entry fee: 1 eur.
