ENTRY fee: donation to the speakers.

Is ayahuasca legal or prohibited? Drug or medicine?
How does it work and what is it used for?

In December 2008, for the first time in the history of the world, a person was imprisoned for possession and use of ayahuasca (incidentally this arrest took place in Spain, the country where the Inquisition flourished the most during the middle ages), and from that moment a process of persecution began, increasing up until today, directed against people who use ayahuasca, even if they use it for therapeutic or religious purposes.

Ayahuasca International Team, Hugo and Laura are going to give a speech about the medicine from the Jungle and the therapeutic work that the group are doing with it.

The Ayahuasca International team has visited Berlin 5 times this year, each time finding groups of people with a longing to transform and expand their lives with the precious help of the shamanic traditional Ayahuasca. Some of them have participated in several of those retreats, which allows an extension and deepening of their processes.

DJ set by: Maxmux (ambient).
Mixcloud 1. Mixcloud 2.

Entry fee: 2 eur.

Before we close for Christmas & New Year holidays, we’d like to celebrate the end of the year together with you! Sweet glühwein, gingerbread biscuits and chai will accompany the dreamy mix by Maxmux.

Maxmux: “Since his youth I like ambient music and I hope you like it, too. If so …. come by & you’ll experience some of the finest ambient tunes from now and then. The openness of ambient floors always appealed to me. You’re not tied to just one genre or style but free to play different styles of sounds and ambient, giving the listeners an enjoyable time with a wide range from bird songs to space pads to tripping dubs.

Back in the days in southern Germany I organized & played the ambient floors of small goa parties out in the woods, and the legendary “Jungle of Ambient Dub” parties. More recently I played the “Wohnzimmer” at the “Klangwirkstoff Record-Release Party” & a back-2-back set with B.Ashra at “Dienstagswelt meets Klangwirkstoff Records”.”

Sunday MEDITATION: Training the Mind

Practitioners say, it’s good to participate in a group meditation regularly.
Together we’ll be learning to do Shamatha meditation.

If we want to go on any kind of journey—not just a spiritual one but also a secular one, such as studying or doing business—we need a mind that is workable. We need a mind that we can rely on. That’s the notion of training the mind, of making the mind workable so it can do whatever it needs to do.

Shamatha, or mindfulness, meditation is how we make this mind more stable, more useful. From this point of view, shamatha is not purely a Buddhist practice; it’s a practice that anyone can do. It doesn’t tie in with a particular spiritual tradition. If we want to undo bewilderment, we’re going to have to be responsible for learning what our own mind is and how it works, no matter what beliefs we hold.
